Chris Flood

About

Launceston artist Chris Flood is inspired by an intense interest in the processes of time, memory and the subliminal mind. He creates intriguing and visually expressive multi layered works which contain abstract references to personal experience and social observations.

His heavy gestural texture, vibrant colour and foreboding hints of darkness weave an intricate visual mystery which invites viewers on a journey of deep exploration to ponder both the artist’s intention and their own interaction within time with individual, inspired perception.

Chris has been an artist in residence at Highfield Historic Site in Stanley, exhibited widely in Tasmania and has work held in local, interstate and overseas collections.
