Megan Perkins

Megan designs and crafts her works in the Huon valley, nestled amongst the forest, overlooking a bending river. She is inspired by patterning and repetition, her recent work influenced by the land as viewed from a bird’s eye perspective. Megan has been mentored by one of Australia’s most respected contemporary jewellers, Anna Davern, undertaken masterclasses with Karl Fritsh and Lisa Walker and at Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery school in Florence. She has received various grants and awards including Australian Council Jump Program, Arts Tasmania Individuals Grant and The Dombrovskis Award. Megan recently participated in the Joya Contemporary Jewellery fair in Barcelona.
