Alex Davern

Painter, abstraction, minimal, landscape

Alex Davern’s work is inspired by the daily observations and objects that make it into his everyday routine. Predominantly a painter, his style is minimal and precise. He is able to pare his subject right back to just what is needed to allow the viewer to form their own intimate and honest response to the way Alex interprets his landscape, our landscape. As such, his work can be looked upon as somewhat autobiographical yet also may be viewed as a quiet reflection of the way our world around us can be seen.
