Alexandra Pitt

inspired by the Tasmanian landscape.

About

“My work continually reflects the environment around me. The Tasmanian landscape in particular, provides the inspiration for most of the work I create. The figure in the landscape, landscape and memory are recurrent themes in my work. The figure acts as a symbol of my own connection to, and experience of the environment around me. Natural objects also feature as an extension of my connection and interaction within the landscape. They act as symbols of time and place, embodying the land from which they are found.”

Alexandra Pitt, 2015.
