Hobart based painter Amber Koroluk-Stephenson’s career has been on the rise since graduating from Tasmania’s School of Art with Honours in 2011.
Urban landscapes and natural environments, perfectly rendered and containing undertones of tension are what to expect when considering these works. A saturated palette of colour and light, pulls the viewer into her carefully considered world. Endless narratives encourage us to explore complexities surrounding the Australian identity and landscape, structures of facade, and paradoxes of taming or staging the landscape.
