Ben Kurczok


Ben Kurczok is originally from Armidale he moved to Tasmania in 1990 and settled on the Tasman Peninsula. He discovered during high school a passion for and talent in working with beautiful Tasmanian timbers. He completed a Diploma in Art, Craft and Design with TAFE, Tasmania in 2000 and Ben has continued to pursue his passion for woodwork and mastering the art of fine kaleidoscope making.

Ben, together with his wife Kate and young family, he operates the Tasmanian Kaleidoscope Company from their home based studio at Eaglehawk Neck in Tasmania’s beautiful south east.

Ben has been commissioned to create a number of larger outdoor installations from mediums such as aluminium and stainless steel. He also enjoys collaborating with local glass artists to develop new kaleidoscope designs.
