Graeme Whittle

“My work has something of a split personality, one personality is whimsical and colourful, it often includes birds and flowers and usually has references to the art of the past. The other personality is a more serious topographical landscape painter who likes to add the dimension of time to the work and bend and distort perspective.”

— Graeme Whittle

Graeme won the Tasmanian Art Award in 2012, Best Watercolour – Tasmanian Art Award 2009 & 2016, People’s Choice Award – Bay of Fires Art Prize 2014 & People’s Choice Award at Tasmanian Art Award 2015. As well as being a finalist in the John Glover Art Prize 2007, 2009, 2011, 2015 & 2017.
