Irene Briant

Irene Briant works across many artistic platforms. From sculptural assemblage to her recent pursuit in photography, Irene is not unaccustomed to exploring and honing new and varied approaches allowing her to best convey ideas to her audience. The common thread to her ever, evolving work is her delicate powers of observation. As a finder or borrower of things; she is able to conduct an almost alchemical association between these objects and idea. Her investigation into identity, place or time, allows for her thread to intricately weaves its way within her collections of found objects and nostalgic mementos, thus enabling them to resonate, ever strongly in our contemporary world.
