Mary Pridmore


Mary Pridmore lives and works in Hobart, Tasmania. She has a PhD from the School of Art in Hobart (2008) awarded for her project Reinventing Rapport, and Investigation of the Mother-Daughter Dyad in Contemporary Figure Painting. 

Pridmore has had a number of solo exhibitions and been represented in local and national group exhibitions. At the Plimsoll Gallery in 2004, she was in The Z Factor. In 2003 and 2015, she was a Finalist in the Portia Geach Memorial Exhibition at the SH Ervin Gallery, the prestigious national exhibition, which is focused on the work of female portrait painters.

Her work is held in private collections both locally and overseas.
