Robert Boldkald

Expressing emotion through gesture and posture.

Robert’s artwork, whether it is sculpted, painted or photographed is inspired by the human form and its ability to express emotion through gesture and posture.

The initial forms evolve mostly from observing a life model and are later informed by memory. The abstracted figures which result,  indicate his interest in capturing a gesture, or an idea rather than producing an exact representation of the human form.

Each time he works on a new piece he is motivated by the prospect of discovering and forming something new.
