Ruth Frost

About

Ruth Frost pursues in her practice the dimensions of built spaces, their volume, the impact of coloured shapes, the balance of positive and negative scale and the wash of light. The subjects are often public or places of large gatherings, so she also brings into play the echo of crowds, shared memories of being at events on a stage be it plays or school productions, or phantams of long gone residents. A lecturer in photography at UTAS, Frost engages in exploring this medium and technical enhancement through her environment.
