Sally Anne Rees

an artist working in time based and mixed media

About

Hand painted inkjet printed still images compliment time-based media works. Inspired by the works of surrealist artists, Max Ernst, Man Ray and Lee Miller amongst others as well as being influenced by the family friendly occult thriller and sci-fi culture of her youth, Rees blends video self-portraiture and watercolour animation producing a digitised work that carries the unmistakable mark of the maker.

‘ZAP ZAP’ is an animated loop of watercolour over inkjet printed video frames.
