William Rhodes

Each painting or drawing explores different angles, themes or techniques. Sometimes images are representative of the landscape – other times they are representations of an internal energy or idea.

About

William’s work is often emotive, powerful, serene and suggestive. His work is broad in scope, ranging from draftsman like drawings to open, free expressionist gestural paintings. Constantly experimenting his work tends to look into the link between machinery, people and the Tasmanian landscape. His work often speaks to imagination and memory. Place, experiences and the elements of a uniquely Tasmanian landscape.
