Adrienne Eberhard was born in Dover, Tasmania, in 1964. She holds an MA in English on twentieth century travel writing, and has travelled herself in Europe, Asia and the Pacific. She has taught primary school in Papua New Guinea, as well as English and creative writing in Canberra and Tasmania. She lives on the D’Entrecasteaux Channel, south of Hobart, with her husband, two young sons and dog Mungo.
Adrienne received a grant from the Australia Council to write full-time in 2004. Adrienne has published three poetry collections with Black Pepper. She is the author of Wagtail chapbook No. 47, Phosphorescence and other poems (Picaro Press, 2005). She has been a poetry editor of Island magazine. In 2015, Black Pepper will publish Adrienne fourth collection, The Shape of the Wind.
