Residency location Lake St Clair, 2000
Pursuing my artwork enables me to reflect on my relationship with nature. The process of drawing, sitting still, and observing enables me to form a closer connection to my surroundings than would otherwise be the case.
My work explores diverse components of the land and the forces of nature upon that land.
My Wilderness Residency at Lake St Clair in 2000 gave me the freedom to make art without distractions, and resulted in a solo exhibition in 2002.
The two works on display in the Arts in Parks exhibition are part of the Lake St Clair Visitors Centre permanent collection.
