The Hobart Bookshop is a proud independent bookshop with an emphasis on Tasmaniana, poetry and literature. It is located in the arts precinct of Salamanca and is a short walk from the city centre and wharf area.
The proprietors, Christopher Pearce and Janet Grecian, have a long history in bookselling and actively support the local arts and literary scene, hosting literary events, sponsoring competitions and offering discounts to a variety of community organisations and their member group.
The Hobart Bookshop is warm, well-lit and is filled to overflowing with literature and non-fiction books and their staff are knowledgeable and happy to help you to find something new to read.
