The annual Sculpture Trail at Art Farm Birchs Bay just near Woodbridge in the Channel area of Southern Tasmania consists of approximately 30 sculptures that are exhibited alongside the 11 permanent sculptures acquired by Five Bob Farm. Featuring work by Tasmanian and interstate artists, the Trail leads visitors through pear orchards, up winding bush trails, across open fields with views of Bruny Island and the D’Entreacastaux Channel and down into a picturesque orchard and vegetable gardens.
The trail is open everyday and dogs on leads are welcome. Allow one-hour for the walk, wearing suitable footwear for bush tracks.
Situated at Five Bob Farm, a unique coastal farm, a visit to the Art Farm includes meandering through fields of native pepper (Tasmannia lanceolata), irises, fruit orchards and an extensive kitchen garden, supplying the farm café, Pepperberries Garden Café.
2017 Sculpture Trail opens Good Friday, April 14 (please note the trial is open year round and features permanent sculptures)
