ARTBOX Guest Curator Henrietta Manning invited local professional artist Wendy Edwards to show her work and they collaborated to present this exhibition. Primarily working for private commissions and public works this is a unique opportunity to see a collection of Wendys work in one place. Recherche explores the communitys relationship with the wild spaces remaining in the Huon through small creatures that we barely notice, and can take for granted. These animals are increasingly under threat from climate change, natural disaster and their ever-reducing habitat. Wendy creates site specific sculpures incorporating mosaic, found objects and hand-made ceramics. Henrietta Manning is also a professional artist based in the Huon.
Wendy Edwards is an award winning artist who creates site specific sculptures incorporating mosaic, found objects and hand-made ceramics.
