A unique and inspiring snapshot into the creative minds of talented Tasmanian students at the height of their art making abilities.

About

This exhibition represents more than 100 individual works by pre-tertiary visual art students from schools and colleges around the state studying pre-tertiary visual arts.

Artists have used many mediums and processes, from analogue photography and traditional printmaking techniques to sculpture, video animation and 3D printing technology. The result is an array of beautiful, challenging and mature works that reflect the last important years of secondary education.

Saturday 11 May – Sunday 2 June 2019
10:00am – 4:00pm daily

OFFICIAL OPENING: 
Friday 10 May 2019, 5:30pm – 7:30pm


SCHOOL GROUP BOOKINGS:
Salamanca Arts Centre invites school groups to register their visits to the exhibition*.
We ask that groups no larger than 30 register for each session time, inclusive of supervising staff and assistants.

About

ArtRage is an annual initiative of the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery (QVMAG) which draws on folios of work by Tasmanian Certificate of Education students. A vibrant and often provocative exhibition, that provides insight into young people’s ideas and creative processes.

ArtRage is presented by the QVMAG and the College Art Teachers of Tasmania.
