Blessed Bones

Transmutation of roadkill into sacred relics

About

Installation by Susan Bronner-Loan

Transmutation of mere roadkill
into embellished, gilded and sacred relics.
Can I show you how powerful,
magnificent and beautiful nature can be?
It asks for our respect and attention.
Will you look?

Our 21st century lives run on fast forward. We actually live in a world which moves at a snail’s pace. We hardly notice the bush and rarely see native creatures, except as roadkill. Reconnection with the native world around us can be made through these relics. Raised to the level of holy icon, these bones beckon you to look closer, pause a little longer and feel the beauty of nature.

They are BLESSED BONES

EXHIBITION DATES:
Friday 1 – Saturday 30 September 2017
