About
Donald Richardson was born in Burnie in 1929 and trained at the forerunner of the Tasmanian Art School. He taught in Tasmania, Victoria and South Australia as well as developing as a painter and sculptor. Donald’s maxim is that it is the artist’s mind that creates and he regards Marcel Duchamp as the greatest philosopher of modernist visual art.
