Moving Conversations is an exploration of facets of human interactions based on Eleanor Austin’s keen observations of people. The audience is invited to extract their own meaning and interpret what is presented in this new body of work.

Eleanor Austin was born in Launceston but grew up in Burnie. Her education commenced with a studentship at Launceston Teacher’s College and was later followed up with a Bachelor of Education at UTAS.
While her teaching career took precedence, Eleanor augmented her creative art skill base by participating in professional development in Tasmania and the mainland.
Eleanor has participated in many group shows and been finalist in TASART, Bay of Fires Art Prize, paper on skin, Eskleigh Art Award, ArtEx Ulverstone and Material Girl. She has won several awards and commissions including the Mancell Financial Group 2017 TASART Burnie City Council Award.
For this, her fifth solo exhibition, Eleanor received a Regional Arts Australia Grant.
