An exhibition of small sculptural works in wood by Taiwanese/Australian artist Chi-Ling Tabart

We make up our life from the little things and build on and on,
We preserve them into memories,
We preserve them into objects, seal them with our hearts,
And they never fade away.

“Life is made from the little things, they are not all great and happy but we live on each day. I preserve them into objects, I wrap them in nature patterns with my thought. Each creature is alive and gives depth and vitality to the stories.  I use recycled or off-cut timber and then hand carve and polish wood into whimsical characters, each sculpture with unique patterns.”
