“SS18” addresses credentialism* and problematises relationships that exists between
multiple unilateral environments. It explores ‘screen-based’ daily realities, and how
contemporary audiences engage with and access content.
The heightened accessibility and applied credentialism caused by experiencing art via a
website or Instagram has affected the way in which art is critiqued, as well as produced. The
exhibition questions the value of ‘documentation experiences’ of artworks/exhibitions and
how audiences influence the industry and ideas of status and quality.
