Henrietta Manning is Guest Curator for the Huon Valley Council ARTBOX which is sited in Geeveston with the adjudicated, themed exhibition Inside Out until 24 Febuary [see listing under Whats On]. Henrietta is also a professional established artist and will open her working studio to the public for one day to welcome visitors to ARTBOX to also visit the curator/artist and see and have a chat about her own art practice. STUDIO WATERLOO is a only a 6 minute drive from Geeveston.
STUDIO WATERLOO is in a heritage apple packing shed, once a common feature of the Huon apple growing district but sadly many have fallen into disrepair and disappeared. With stunning views down the Huon River to Sleeping Beauty and Mount Wellington come and view examples of work past and present on display. Unique limited-edition Artist Prints are also available.
Artist Prints are produced by the artist themselves working closely with the printer to approve the colour match and quality to the original work. These prints are on archival paper for longevity and in Henrietta’s case reproduce the work exactly to the scale of the original, including the detail of the original art works boards imperfect edge [all the artists boards are sawn and sanded by hand] Each comes signed and numbered by the artist, with a certificate of authenticity. An Artist Print limited-edition print run is still an important collectors item, as once that edition has been sold there are no more produced. Henrietta has selected work from her personal collection and the popular Nesting and Cambodia Series, and is also happy to discuss the possibility of these unique prints being made from other works in the studio.
