Thresholds – Recent work by Leoni Duff

This body of work explores the theme of thresholds and the two meanings of the word; The stone plate at the bottom of the door which one crosses when going from one space to another… using this idea to move from the physical to the psychological, from the material and temporal to the spiritual and eternal. Also, the intensity of stimulus that must be exceeded for a certain reaction, phenomenon, result, or condition to occur or be manifested; exploring the effects of visual beauty in moving the artist and viewer to deeper considerations of the human condition.
