Trees and the Taste of Shadow

Cameron Semmens

An exhibition of ink art and graphic poems.

“… as I keep walking further into the forest all my
black-and-whites are softened into shades of green …”

Through considered words and dramatic images this exhibition provides a meditation on the consoling and reviving force of wilderness, particularly the lush temperate rain forests of Tasmania.

Cameron Semmens is an award-winning poet; a poetry educator and a book designer who has recently enlarged his practice into fine art, particularly as visual responses to, and manifestations of, his foggy-ferny-forest-loving words. Formerly, and formatively, from Hobart, Cameron now lives in The Dandenong Ranges.
