Junction is proud to present Hometown: a community event to celebrate our island state’s resilient and vibrant arts scene.
Following the postponement of Junction Arts Festival’s 10th Anniversary program earlier this year, Junction Hometown was born from a desire to unite our community and bring arts, performance and music back to Launceston in the form of a weekend event in Prince’s Square.
The 2020 event will be unlike previous years, with 4 ticketed sessions across the last weekend of spring. From Friday 27 November to Sunday 29 November, we’ll be laying out our picnic rugs and enjoying a socially distanced event in our beloved hometown of Launceston.
Get ready to shake off the COVID blues and welcome summer with live music, friendly faces and delicious local food and wine. Junction Hometown promises something for everyone, from children’s programming to your favourite Tassie bands, and a whole lot of fun.
After a tough year for the arts industry, we cannot wait to see our stages and park lit up once again with performances from your favourite local acts. Tickets will be limited due to COVID-19 restrictions, with all sales going directly to supporting the artists and creators that bring our beautiful town to life!
