Modern Jazz Standards

Apart from the Great American Songbook, there is another canon of compositions used by jazz musicians the world over as a starting point for improvisation. This concert will highlight some of the creators of these tunes such as Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, Gerry Mulligan, Horace Silver and Dave Brubeck.
