by Hernandez and Tamayo & special guests

Inertia is a culturally rich multidisciplined dance work is based on the foundations of Folkloric, Danza Espanola and Flamenco dance narratives.

The work draws attention to how we, as unique individuals, remain in an unchanged state, traveling on a trajectory that relies on our personal direction, choice, and existence. However, decisions, causal, and circumstance intercept our lives, thus taking us seemingly off course, yet beautifully coincidental; often unaware of the redirection, or alteration to our state of motion.

Inertia, though drenched in Spanish tradition, forms a contemporary collective by the artists Aitor Hernandez de Madrid, Jesus Olmedo de Madrid and Marina Tamayo de Sydney/Granada supported by Guitarist Tony Tonks de London and percussionist Evan Yako de Sydney and vocalist Rut Santamaria de Madrid.
