Stompin invites upper primary school students aged 8-12 to join the Company for a fun, non-competitive and exciting 8-week dance creation and performance project.
This year’s project entitled “Brain Child” will be an exploration in dance, looking at the workings of mind and body connection, and the endless possibilities for innovation.
Running since 2015, the Primary Stompin Project is an inclusive dance project, inviting young people from Northern Tasmanian primary schools, local and regional to join us at our Studio to make a work about issues important to them.
Primary Stompin is a way to introduce the values and aesthetics of Stompin to 8 to 12 year olds. It is a simple, fun process with a social conscience and a celebratory outcome.
Join us for this free introductory session to discover our creative process, find out about the project and sign up to be involved.
The Show Call will involve moving, creating and most of all having fun!
