Called The Miners Trail, DoMaur Productions will present a variety show that will take the audience on a journey following the same paths as the early miners on the West Coast of Tasmania.
Local poets, musicians, storytellers and playwrights will combine with local schoolchildren to present a series of vignettes made up of poetry, prose and music.
The performances will be held over two weekends and follow the path of the miners of the early 20th century. About half of each performance will consist of similar characters but locals from each community will contribute so that each performance will be different and unique to that community.
With the help of a talented group of performers, we hope to take you back in time and relive some of the early days of the west coast. While it may not be as populated as it was in previous years, the west coast still thrives on mining, its shared history and its stories.
