Twelve Angry Men – Launceston

America's greatest courtroom drama

About

Three River Theatre

by Reginald Rose
directed by Stan Gottschalk with Stuart Loone

Three River Theatre is pleased to announce that we are producing America’s greatest courtroom drama, Twelve Angry Men.

Full of intrigue, suspense and attitude, all wrapped up in a wonderfully crafted script, Twelve Angry Men will be directed and produced by Stan Gottschalk, with assistance from Stuart Loone.

Although firmly set in the New York City of 1955, the play’s core issues of prejudice, fair judicial process, and the treatment of “outsiders”, resonate as clearly today as when the work was written.  It certainly is time for a revival!

We are thrilled with our cast – it’s not that often that you get twelve of Launceston’s finest male actors in the one room, at the one time, committing to a muscular and thought-provoking drama.

With so many people having seen a stage production or one of the several film adaptations, having performed an excerpt or two in Grade 9 drama at school, or just having heard of it:  this production is sure to captivate, so get your tickets early.

Produced by arrangement with ORiGiN Theatrical, on behalf of Samuel French Ltd.
