“We will be working primarily with fluid washes and stains, while also drawing with the paint. As a starting point we will work from sea-sponges, fossilized coral and dried seaweeds, not looking at detail, but capturing a trace or shadow of these forms to include in a composition.” – Anne Morrison
Join artist Anne Morrison as she presents 2 x 2 hour workshops at Devonport Regional Gallery coinciding with her solo exhibition Preservation and Loss in February and March. Across the two workshops Anne will share some of the painting processes used in her work.
Participants will be guided through a series of painting exercises that focus on ways to re-imagine and interpret our relationship to the environment, exploring the patterns, rhythms, networks and forms found within the natural world.
All materials provided. This workshop is presented in two parts. Participants must attend both sessions.
Extra sessions have been announced: 3 and 10 March!
