Art in the Dark workshop with artist Katrin Terton

Join artist Katrin Terton for a workshop which involves involve the use of clay for sculpting without sight and creating drawings.

Workshop Friday 25 October at 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.

The cost of this workshop is $40 p.p. Payment needs to be made to secure your place, and can be made via credit card over the phone, or in person at the Gallery or via the Burnie Tickets link.Limited places available, payment is required to secure your place. This workshop is for adults.

This workshop has been designed for health workers, therapists, teachers, students in this field with an interest in process-oriented multi-sensory expressive experiences.

This 3-hour workshop is an exclusive pre-launch event, providing an encounter with the works of the multi-sensory exhibition Beyond Sight together with the artist in an intimate setting, affording a unique art experience that is not primarily based on sight.

Participants will also experience creative processes such as blind contour drawing and sculpting without sight that highlight the use of other senses than vision to inspire self-exploration and develop a deeper understanding of the multi-faceted aspects of individual perception.

Katrin Terton’s exhibition : Beyond Sight is on display in the Gallery from 25 October to 1 December 2019.
