Film-making 101

Master the essentials of film-making with this full day workshop


Calling all budding film-makers and those looking to enter in the Four 8 Film Festival next year (4–7 March 2016) – we have the workshop for you! Experienced film-maker Rose Schramm will help you master the essentials of film-making from idea development, shooting to edit and post production tips – all with no budget!

Rose will also offer her time at the end of the workshop to assess any ideas, answer any questions and offer personalised suggestions and feedback on your film projects.

Who: adults (ages 16+)



With a history in Sociology and theatre stage management, Rose Schramm merged into film 12 years ago and for 7 years taught video and editing units at Tas TAFE. She is a freelance cinematographer/sound recordist/script supervisor/first AD/ producer and wardrobe designer, but her main loves are writing, editing and teaching film. Rose is a qualified youth worker and has worked with many community groups and organisations around Tasmania, teaching and making films. She is currently writing a comedy feature film set in Hobart, and editing the final cut of a feature documentary filmed between Tasmania and New Orleans.
