Gouache Workshop with Alyssa Bermudez

Learn to use gouache paints with Alyssa Bermudez

About

Gouache is a water based medium that is more forgiving than watercolour . Opaque and vibrant, it has been used in various forms for at least a thousand years. Designers have prized gouache for its flat surfaces and heavy, velvety, light absorbent texture. Today’s artists prize gouache because it provides precision, full flat color coverage, and crisp edges. It can be used to paint lettering or fill in drawings, it allows flexibility because mistakes can be covered up, and it photographs well – an important attribute in the age of digital illustration and design. The workshop run for 4 hours, from 10.00 am to 3.00pm, with an hour for lunch. A beginners set of gouache paints is included in the fee.
